Denise’s Healing Journey :Encouragement for the Healing Heart Podcast Episode 01

Blessings and welcome to Denise’s Healing Journey: Encouragement for the Healing Heart. Please know that God:

...“heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds.”
~ Psalm 147:3

Join me as together we follow our unique, God-created paths to healing and wholeness.

Enter into this journey where you will find ‘seeds along the way’—treasures of comfort, peace, and wisdom to encourage you through your days.

In a time of illness, division, and hardship where we’re all trying to understand how to move forward, let these words of healing revive you. The Hebrew Scriptures say that the power of life and death resides in the tongue (Provers 18:21). May you and I speak life.

It may have my name on it, but I would ask that you make this space your own. Send me your favorite scriptures. Share a story or testimony.

Offer a prayer request. Note a favorite hymn, worship, or inspirational song.

Let’s make community right here, right now—in this space.

  • No matter your age.
  • No matter your station in life.
  • No matter your struggles or challenges, you need to know you’re not alone.
  • And that there is beauty in the life you live.

Let’s begin shall we…

To those in their pain and anguish have wandered from the arms of God, He says to you:

“But once she has nothing I’ll be able to get through to her. I’ll entice her and lead her out into the wilderness where we can be alone,

And I’ll speak right to her heart and try to win her back.

And I’ll give her back her vineyards; I’ll turn the valley of Achor, that Valley of Trouble, into a gateway of hope.

In the wilderness of exile she’ll learn to respond to Me the way she did when she was young, when I bought her out of Egypt.

I’m going to marry you, and this time it’ll be forever in righteousness and justice. Our covenant will reflect a loyal love and great mercy;

Our marriage will be honest and truthful, and you’ll understand who I really am—the Eternal One.”
~ Hosea 2:14-15, 19-20 VOICE

To those who have suffered loss and rejection—who feel God has let them down, God says this:

“Sing, barren woman, who has never had a baby. Fill the air with song, you who’ve never experienced childbirth.

You’re ending up with far more children than all those childbearing women. God says so!

Clear lots of ground for your tents! Make your tents large. Spread out! Think big! Don’t be afraid—you’re not going to be embarrassed.

Don’t hold back—you’re not going to come up short. You’ll forget all the humiliations of your youth, and the indignities of being a widow will fade from memory.

For your Maker is your bridegroom, His name, God-of-the-Angel Armies! For even if the mountains walk away and the hills fall to pieces,

My love won’t walk away from you, My covenant commitment of peace won’t fall apart. The God who has compassion on you says so.”
~ Isaiah 54:1, 2a-5

To those gripped by fear and doubt—who wonder if it’s worth it to keep believing, to keep hoping, to keep moving…God wants you to know:

“Despite all this, the Eternal One is right there in her midst; nothing He does is wrong. Every morning he delivers His judgments, He illuminates the right way to live.

Hurray! It’s time to sing, faithful daughter of Zion! It’s time to shout out loud, Israel! Be happy and celebrate with all your being.

Do not be afraid, Zion; Hold your head and hands high, and take courage.

The Eternal God is standing right here among you, and He is the champion who will rescue you. He will joyfully celebrate over you;

He will rest in His love for you; He will joyfully sing because of you like a new husband.”
~ Zephaniah 3:5, 14, 16-17 VOICE

I don’t know about you, but I needed to hear this today. It gives me hope. It gives me a reason to believe something awesome is coming my way.

Because the truth is, I don’t know where I am going to be in three months. I don’t know where I am going to live. Whether I’ll be homeless.

How I’ll support myself. Or what my life will look like. I’m walking by faith and the promises of God. They have brought me here today.

Yes. God is our Rescuer. We must look to Him. Amen. Amen.

Our God—the God of the Angel Armies will rescue you. May that bring encouragement to your healing heart today.
